FINE LIVING is a static volume of publicly available lifestyle journalism. The manor does not operate a backend pipeline; no personal data is collected, stored, or transmitted by the page itself beyond what is described below.
What Is Set in Type
Each dispatch page aggregates content from a contributing source — title, byline, publication date, imagery, and prose. The url field from the source catalog is intentionally not used in the page; instead, every dispatch links to a local typeset spread that re-presents the original in the manor’s editorial language. Source attribution and provenance are preserved on each dispatch page so readers can locate the original broadcast.
Editorial Values
Volume number, issue number, page number, folio mark, and edition label are deterministic pseudo-values derived from each dispatch’s catalog identifier using a stable hash. They are purely decorative editorial flavor and do not represent real pagination of any physical volume. They do not change between visits and are not used to track readers. Reading time is computed from actual word count at roughly 220 words per minute.
Local Storage & Cookies
The manor’s pages do not set authentication cookies. The only client-side
state is the form input you voluntarily enter into the contact or monthly letter
forms — and those forms do not submit anywhere because the site is static
— plus a single manor-theme key in local storage that remembers
your parchment / walnut theme preference. If you wire up a form to your own
backend, that backend becomes responsible for handling any data submitted.
Third-Party Resources
Pages reference the following third-party CDNs to render the manor scene:
- fonts.googleapis.com — Playfair Display, Cormorant Garamond, and Inter typefaces.
- unpkg.com — Anime.js v4.5 and Three.js r160 modules.
Each of these CDNs may independently log request metadata (IP address, referer, user agent) in accordance with their own privacy policies. If you prefer not to be observed by these CDNs, configure your browser to block third-party requests; the page will still render in a reduced-motion, typeface-fallback mode.
Imagery & Attribution
Dispatch imagery is referenced from the original source publication. If you are a rights-holder and would like a page updated or removed, contact [email protected] and the page will be pulled from the next issue.
Changes to This Colophon
Because the site is statically generated, this colophon changes only when the generator is re-run. The most recent generation date is encoded in the page footer under the copyright line.
